It takes place in a fictional city, just like your classical superhero story. Main characters are 45 year old Kotetsu Kaburagi who is already a veteran. After the company where he is emloyed goes bankrupt he joins a new one where he gets assigned with a partner Barnaby Brooks Jr. First they don't get along but of course, that changes..
